This game was a solo project developed as part of my final year university project, created within a tight deadline of just two months. Despite the time constraints, Mugen blends strategic combat, rich storytelling, and a world inspired by classic Japanese aesthetics to offer a dynamic experience full of tension and emotional depth.



Mugen is a 2.5D pixel art action RPG set in the Edo period, where honor and betrayal collide. You follow the journey of Iori Sato, a samurai haunted by his past, as he battles through enemy ranks and faces deep moral dilemmas. His mission: to reclaim his homeland, Tsukiyama, from the invading forces of Kurogane.
